The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Strong with that takedown attempt.
Liddel looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Liddel is looking to clinch.
Strong avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Strong throws a lazy right hand but Liddel sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Strong throws the left hand but Liddel avoids the punch easily.
Liddel fails in his attempt to clinch.
Strong misses the shot to the body.
Strong throws an overhand right that lands on Liddel's shoulder, as Liddel tries to avoid the shot.
Liddel tries to clinch up but Strong circles away and keeps his distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Liddel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Strong.
Liddel is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Strong shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Liddel as he jumps to the side.
Strong swings for the body but Liddel moves out of range.

Liddel fails in his attempt to clinch.
Strong shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Liddel pinned against the cage. Liddel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Chunk Liddel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerry Strong.
Liddel closes the distance and pushes Strong back into the cage.
Strong is working for takedown but Liddel is calmly controlling the position for now.

Strong is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Liddel gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Liddel lands a shot to the body.

Liddel stops a takedown attempt from Strong.
Liddel breaks the clinch.
Liddel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Strong moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Strong shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Liddel's guard.
Strong passes Liddel's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Strong thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Liddel's head.
Liddel on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Liddel tries to get out of the position.
Strong slips a nice elbow through Liddel's hands, connecting with Liddel's forehead.
Strong is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Strong is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Liddel is just riding it out for now. Strong eventually gives up the hold.
Strong trying to mount his opponent but Liddel defends it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Strong is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Liddel sees it coming and defends easily.
Liddel tries to kick Strong off but Strong keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Strong is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Liddel defends it well.
Liddel is trying to stand.
Strong is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Liddel doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Strong.
Liddel tries to kick Strong off but Strong keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Strong passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Liddel!
Strong scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Strong is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Strong!
