Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genesuis Silverkush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos comes to the cage accompanied by ASAP. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Genesuis Silverkush!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silverkush tries to close the distance and clinch up but Santos swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Santos looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Silverkush!
Santos cracks Silverkush with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Santos is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Silverkush can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Santos is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Silverkush can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Silverkush wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Santos shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Silverkush swats away the attempt to clinch by Santos.
Santos tries to close the distance and clinch but Silverkush swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Silverkush fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Santos.
Santos slips a jab and a cross from Silverkush.
A combination from Silverkush does no damage.
Santos shoots in for a double leg but Silverkush sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silverkush throws a head kick that half lands.
Silverkush takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Santos shoots for a double leg takedown but Silverkush sprawls well. He's pushed Santos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Silverkush fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Santos looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

No luck for Santos with that takedown attempt.

Santos closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Santos is breathing heavily.
Santos not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Silverkush is trying to stand.
Santos thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Santos content to control rather than advance.
Silverkush really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Santos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Santos shoots in and bounces Silverkush off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Santos postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Silverkush has momentary wrist control but Santos slips an elbow through the middle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silverkush is looking to stand up but Santos isn't so interested in that idea.
Santos keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Silverkush's head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Silverkush is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Santos scores with a couple of nice shots.

Santos looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Santos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Silverkush takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Santos takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Santos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Santos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Santos closes the distance and clinches up with Silverkush, looking for a takedown. Santos pushes Silverkush against the cage but Silverkush circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Santos, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
