PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kalle Kula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Morgan Kismet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kula comes to the cage accompanied by Black Label Society - Counterfeit God. Kalle Kula is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kalle Kula!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Morgan Kismet!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kismet changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kula looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kismet tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kismet has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kula is looking to regain half guard here but Kismet keeps moving and retains side control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Kismet is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kula has escaped the position, nice work there.
Kula might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kula is breathing heavily.
Kismet tries to move into full mount but can't pass Kula's legs.
Kismet tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Kismet tries to move to mount but Kula blocks the move with his legs.

Kismet is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kula is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
You can see the frustration on Kula's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kula could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kismet advances to full mount.

Kismet misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Kismet looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Kula defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Kismet.
Kula tries to reverse the position but Kismet maintains control.

Kismet with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Kula sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Kula moves into full guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Kula lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kismet!

BOOM! Kula connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Kismet is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kismet sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Kismet regains full guard. Nicely done.

Kismet looking for a guillotine here but Kula defends easily.
Kismet bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kula's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kismet is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kula is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kula has escaped and now he's on top!

Kula with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Kismet is looking for a triangle but Kula pushes his legs off easily.
Kula trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Kula trying to control the position from guard on top but Kismet is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kismet manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kula manages to get himself to full guard.
Kismet wants to control from the top but Kula keeps moving.

Kula can't escape the position.

Kismet goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Kula is on top in guard.

Kismet is looking to sinch up a triangle. Kula throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kismet's body to avoid the submission. Kismet has instead reached around Kula's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kismet arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
