Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ted Grant has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bruce Wayne! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ted Grant! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wayne takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Wayne uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Grant. Wayne throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Wayne gets a takedown into half guard. Wayne seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Grant does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Grant pushes Wayne off looking to stand but Wayne dives back in and keeps control.
Wayne passes to side control. Wayne tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Wayne just content to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wayne working away. Wayne swings around for an armbar but Grant sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Wayne's guard. Grant really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wayne. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wayne is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Grant wanted to stand there but Wayne had control of the position. Wayne controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Grant trying to control the position from guard on top but Wayne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wayne lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Grant! Wayne controlling from mount. Grant is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Grant stops Wayne from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Grant defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Wayne. Grant is trying to stand. Wayne looking to secure an arm triangle but Grant defends it well. Wayne is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Grant can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grant is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Wayne sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Wayne goes for an armbar but Grant turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Grant. Wayne has a closed guard, preventing Grant from standing up. Wayne seems keen to control Grant's posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Grant throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Wayne ducks under a wild hook from Grant. Grant throws a series of punches but Wayne moves out of range. Grant looks to land a left hand but Wayne moved out of range nicely. A lazy left from Grant finds it's target. Grant throws a looping overhand right but Wayne ducks down to avoid it. Wayne throws and low kick but Grant moves out of range easily. Grant staying out of range there. Grant misses with a series of wild punches.

Wayne throws a right and a left that Grant avoids nicely. Wayne displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Grant throws out the jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grant tries to bum rush Wayne with a series of wild strikes but Wayne uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Grant lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wayne circles away quickly and effectively. Grant throws a combination that misses and Wayne cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Wayne moves out of range as Grant strikes. Grant looks to throw the jab but Wayne is out of range. Bruce Wayne is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Grant falls off balance throwing a combination
and Wayne counters with a takedown into side control. Wayne tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Wayne tries for a kimura but Grant is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wayne goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Grant has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grant tries to get to his feet but Wayne is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Grant in his guard. Wayne is controlling Grant's posture. Grant wants to stand but Wayne has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wayne is adopting a defensive guard. Wayne looking to hit a scissor sweep but Grant is one step ahead there. Wayne is working hard here to advance position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wayne is on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Wayne is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Wayne prevents Grant from getting back to his feet. Wayne won't allow Grant to sweep him here. Wayne trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Wayne drops back, looking for a kneebar! Grant looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Grant looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Grant! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Wayne dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A jab from Wayne misses. Wayne slips a straight right by Grant. Grant might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Wayne showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Grant.
Grant is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Grant misses with a double jab
and Wayne counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Wayne changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Grant looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Grant is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Wayne is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Grant has escaped the position, nice work there. Wayne in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Grant is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bruce Wayne! Bruce Wayne retains his welterweight title!
