Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Toxic Avenger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darren Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Avenger comes to the cage accompanied by Misfits - We are 138. Toxic Avenger has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avenger shoots in and bounces Burns off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burns controls Avenger momentarily but Avenger frees himself.
Burns looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Burns has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Avenger can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Burns working for a triangle but Avenger defends it easily.
Burns throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Avenger tries to stand but Burns is controlling from the bottom.
Burns has his foot on Avenger's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Avenger works his way back into a safe position though.

Avenger throws a jab but it's blocked by Burns.

Burns tries to close the distance and clinch but Avenger swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Burns tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Burns decides to pull guard.
Burns working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Avenger doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Avenger manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Avenger drops back looking for a leg! Burns is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Burns manages to kick Avenger off! Avenger jumps back into Burns's guard.
Burns working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Avenger doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Avenger manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Burns is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Burns escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Avenger gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Avenger has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Avenger closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Burns misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Burns is pushing Avenger's head away, looking to escape. Avenger manages to hold on to the position though.
Burns tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Avenger wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Avenger scores with a one two! Burns had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

and Avenger counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Avenger throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Burns.
Burns wants to clinch but Avenger slips to the side
and Avenger counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Avenger shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Burns shoots in for a takedown but Avenger shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Burns counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Avenger!
Burns has control of Avenger's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Avenger regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Burns working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Burns sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Avenger's guard.
Avenger wants to control but Burns is keeping busy and won't allow it.

and Burns counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Avenger's guard now.
Avenger is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Burns has gone for a leg lock! Avenger slips out almost immediately though and dives into Burns's guard.
Burns had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Avenger is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Burns Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Avenger's back instead.

Burns is punishing Avenger with strikes - can he finish him?!
Burns working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Avenger trying to control the hands but Burns won't let him.

Burns has Avenger pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Burns pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Avenger tumbling to the mat - Burns dives into Avenger's guard.

Darren Burns comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Burns has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
