Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harry Azz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jonny Do! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Azz looks to land a combination but Do avoids it well. Azz with a jab.
It looks like Jonny Do has been cut. Do clinches up with Azz and pushes him back against the cage. Do is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Azz is trying to break the clinch but Do is controlling him. Do keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Azz's efforts to push away. Do is trying to drag Azz to the mat but Azz just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Azz wants to break free but Do has control.
Azz is pressed up against the cage. Do has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Azz down to the mat. Azz avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Harry Azz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonny Do. Azz's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Azz duly obliges. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The fight stays on the outside here - Do looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Azz lands a jab to the head.
Do closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Azz did well to prevent Do getting side control. Do missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Azz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Do pulls his head out easily. Azz looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Do thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Azz moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Azz pushes a forearm under Do's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Do is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
