Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bas Rutten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cross kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Adrenaline. Bas Rutten acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Rutten misses.
Cross takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Rutten avoids the head kick by Cross.
Cross blocks the body kick.
Cross throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cross checks a leg kick.
Rutten moves out of range as Cross throws a body kick.
Cross misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rutten is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Cross.
Rutten swats away the attempt to clinch by Cross.
Rutten throws a series of punches but Cross moves out of range.

and Rutten makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Cross throws a head kick but Rutten moves out of range.
Cross closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Nice uppercut there from Rutten.
Cross takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rutten scores with a shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rutten throws a right and a left that Cross avoids nicely.

and Rutten counters with a one-two to the body.
Cross is breathing heavily.
Cross takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rutten throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cross throws a right hand that Rutten ducks under and follows up with a left that Rutten also avoids with ease.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rutten lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Rutten cracks Cross with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Rutten moves into range and connects with a jab.
Rutten throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cross stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cross takes one to the chin there.
Rutten lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cross's sensitive parts.
Look low, kick high! Rutten uses the oldest trick in the book to send Cross tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Rutten is absolutely delighted - when Cross wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
