0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Romeo Olsson! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Matheus Silva and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice defenses there by Olsson. Olsson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sanchez. Sanchez throws a hook to the side of Olsson's head but Olsson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Sanchez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Olsson blocks a jab. Olsson staying out of range there. Sanchez throws a lazy right hand but Olsson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Sanchez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Olsson. Olsson blocks a jab. Sanchez throws a hook but Olsson blocks it. Sanchez throws a shot from downtown. Olsson moves away and avoids it. Sanchez slow jab from Olsson misses its intended target. Olsson drives through and clinches with Sanchez against the cage.
Olsson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sanchez pulls his leg out and moves away.

Olsson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Olsson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Olsson looks gassed! Olsson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Sanchez tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez sneaks back into half guard. Olsson is pressing down on Sanchez's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sanchez is holding on for now. Sanchez is looking to control Olsson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sanchez avoid being mounted? Olsson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Sanchez throws a hook to the side of Olsson's head but Olsson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Olsson shoots in for a takedown but Sanchez shows good takedown defense. Sanchez is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Sanchez thows a left - swing and a miss! A choreographed right hand from Sanchez misses the target. A solid leg kick lands there for Olsson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Olsson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Sanchez! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee warns Sanchez that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Olsson has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Sanchez is forced to tap!
