Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ankka Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Damur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ankka Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeff Damur! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Damur looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Damur lands a couple of elbows. Damur stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard. Damur not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Damur stopping the sweep attempt from Silva. Damur is stalling in the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Silva looking to control.
Damur trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom. Silva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Damur trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Silva is controlling Damur's posture. Damur won't allow Silva to sweep him here. Damur trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Damur sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Damur looking to sit in guard and control but Silva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Despite being in the dominant position, Jeff Damur just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Damur looks for a takedown but Silva sprawls well. Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Damur as he jumps to the side. Damur has his takedown stuffed and Silva counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Silva. Silva is pushing Damur up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Silva breaks the clinch.
Damur lands a with a good body shot. Silva is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Damur fails with the takedown and Silva counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Damur's guard now. Ankka Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Damur. Damur pulls Silva in to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Damur tries to land a sweep but no joy. Silva trying to control but Damur is working from the bottom. Damur wants to get back to his feet but Silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Silva landing some decent shots from guard. Damur is trying to keep Silva in close.
Damur is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva looking to pass the guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Damur decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Damur content to control rather than advance. Damur's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Damur takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeff Damur dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Damur tries for a takedown but Silva circles away easily so Silva counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Damur is on top in guard.
Damur gets to his feet - Silva follows without any prompting. Jab, jab by Damur - just one landing. Damur looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Silva! Damur looking to control but Silva is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Damur working for a submission but Silva is keeping him at bay. Silva keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Damur controlling the position easily from mount. BOOM! Damur connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Jeff Damur has got the better of the ground game so far. Silva is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Damur scoring with strikes but Silva is staying in there. Damur content just to control the position here. Damur in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Damur is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Damur with a couple of short strikes. Damur looking to control and managing it successfully. Damur looking to secure an arm triangle but Silva defends it well. Damur controlling the pace for now. Damur has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Silva's face.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Damur working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Damur controlling from mount. Damur thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Poor strikes thrown by Damur there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Damur takes Silva's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Silva is in trouble. Silva is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Damur.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Damur looking to break Silva's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Silva remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Damur will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! I would not like to be Silva right now.
Silva covering up well under a series of strikes from Damur. Silva controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeff Damur showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Damur blocks a jab. Damur shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Damur's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Damur has his takedown stuffed and Silva holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Damur goes for a takedown in the clinch but Silva prevents it.
Ankka Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Damur. Damur tries to break the clinch but Silva is controlling the position. Damur is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Silva gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Silva tries a knee to the head but Damur blocks it.
Silva pulls guard. Damur wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position. Silva is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Damur trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Damur wants to stand and escape but instead Silva has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Silva stays in close to Damur's body and controls the position. Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Damur is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Damur is pulling down on Silva's head. It's preventing any offense from Silva, at least for the moment. Silva won't allow Damur to sweep him here. Damur has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Silva has passed into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Damur struggling a bit here. Silva trying to control the action but Damur is working from the bottom. Damur can't do much from the bottom here. Damur is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Silva's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Damur slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Damur looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Silva prevents Damur from getting back to his feet. Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Damur swivels though and keeps the full guard. Damur tries to land a sweep but no joy. Damur has Silva pulled in close to control his posture. Damur has his foot on Silva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silva works his way back into a safe position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Damur fails with the takedown and Silva counters with a nice double leg into guard. Damur trying to control the position here. Silva gets to his feet. Damur looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Damur circles away.
Silva gets caught flat footed, as Damur shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Damur looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Damur drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Silva dives on top into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Ankka Silva showed his dominance in that final round. I think Damur has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
