Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romero shoots in but no luck this time. Reed looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Romero lands a head kick. Reed smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Romero misses with a takedown attempt - Reed sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. The fight stays on the outside here - Romero looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Romero moves into the clinch successfully.
Romero can't find room to land a body shot as Reed controls the action.
Reed drops down looking for an ankle pick but Romero pulls his leg out and moves away.
Romero lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Romero lands with a slapping head kick. Reed shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Romero is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Romero thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Romero has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Reed off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Romero tries to clinch there but Reed circles away.
Romero scores with a takedown into Reed's guard. Romero content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Romero is looking to work some ground and pound but Reed has wrist control. Romero trying to control the position from guard on top but Reed is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reed is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Romero is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reed keeping moving, preventing Romero from controlling successfully. Romero throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Reed has a closed guard, preventing Romero from standing up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Reed shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Romero wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Romero is staying active underneath Reed, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Romero trying to control from the bottom.
Romero pushes Reed off and gets back to his feet. Reed takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Romero lands a head kick. Reed smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Reed shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Romero napping and manages to drive through into side control! Reed working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reed landing strikes. Romero manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Reed throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Reed wants to control but Romero is keeping busy and won't allow it. Reed has a hand on Romero's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Romero takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Reed keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Reed can do anything to dispel that myth. Romero lands a big elbow. Reed tries to reverse the position but Romero maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mario Romero dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Romero tries for a takedown but Reed circles away easily and Reed counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Reed trying to control the position from guard on top but Romero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Reed postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Reed stands up over Romero, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Romero scores with a short punch from the bottom. Reed looking to pass the guard. Romero not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Reed stopping the sweep attempt from Romero. Romero keeping moving, preventing Reed from controlling successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Romero darts in and clinches Reed up against the cage. Romero content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Romero fails to pull guard.
Reed has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Romero regains guard immediately. Reed wants to stand but Romero has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Romero controls Reed momentarily but Reed frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Romero working for a triangle but Reed defends it easily.

Romero wants to stand but Reed is controlling the position. Romero keeping moving, preventing Reed from controlling successfully.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Romero misses with a double jab
and Reed counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Romero works his way to full guard. Good work. Romero trying to keep a closed guard but Reed is proving a slippery customer.
Reed is stalling in the full guard. Reed trying to control but Romero is working from the bottom. Reed passes Romero's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reed works his foot free and advances to mount. Romero tries to get back to half guard but can't. Romero is working hard here to advance position. Romero sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jason Reed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Reed is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Reed is bucking up trying to escape but Romero cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Romero trying to control but Reed is having none of it. Reed is wriggling around trying to escape.
Reed wants to control but Romero is having none of it. Romero in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Reed tries to hold on but Romero postures up. Romero trying to control but Reed is having none of it. Romero working the ground and pound effectively.
Jason Reed has got the better of the ground game so far. Romero dominating with strikes here. Romero with the ground and pound from mount. Romero has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Reed's face.
Reed is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Romero wants to control the pace but Reed is squirming around nicely. Romero landing shots from mount. Reed tries to hold on but Romero pushes him away. Romero landing strikes, looking to finish! Romero breaks from Reed's wrist control and lands an elbow. Romero working the ground and pound effectively.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Reed is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

And that's the end of the fight! Jason Reed comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Reed has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
