0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brian Jalandoni! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jalandoni looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stone is fending him off so far but Jalandoni persists. Nope, Stone circles away and we're back to standing. Stone tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jalandoni swats him away and circles back towards the center. Roy Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jalandoni bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Stone throws a body punch but Jalandoni moves out of range. Donk. Stone catches Jalandoni right on the button with a cross.
It looks like Brian Jalandoni has been cut. Stone throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Stone takes the fight into the clinch. Stone pushes Jalandoni back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Jalandoni fails to pull guard.
A short right from Stone on the inside. Stone pulls guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stone keeping full guard, as Jalandoni tries to pass. Stone wants to sweep here but Jalandoni controlling him for the moment. Stone punching from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jalandoni is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Stone wants to stand and escape but Jalandoni is having none of it. Stone throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Stone doesn't manage to clinch there - Jalandoni circles away.
Stone pushes Jalandoni up against the cage in a clinch. Stone is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jalandoni pulls him back up using the underhooks. Jalandoni has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stone avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Roy Stone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Stone's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Stone gets control of Jalandoni's arms and successfully pulls guard. Stone will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Jalandoni loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Stone looking for a sweep. Not yet Stone, not yet. Stone throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stone tries to get out of the position. Jalandoni looks gassed! The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jalandoni clinches but Stone breaks the clinch and Stone counters by clinching up. Jalandoni tries to work over Stone's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Stone stalling the fight.
Stone lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Stone lands a shot to the body. A frustrated look appears on Jalandoni's face as he tries to break the clinch. Stone scores with an uppercut up the middle. Stone pulls guard effortlessly. Stone tries to land a sweep but no joy. Stone is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jalandoni won't allow Stone to get back to his feet. Stone tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A left and a right from Stone both land. Nice combination. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Stone!
Stone moves into the clinch successfully.
Stone lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Stalling in the clinch from Stone.
Jalandoni changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Stone fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stone moves into range and clinches up with Jalandoni. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roy Stone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Jalandoni. Jalandoni has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stone is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Stone is stalling here.

Stone moves into range and clinches up with Jalandoni. Stone throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Jalandoni is breathing heavily.

Stone has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jalandoni uses from the top position. Stone wants to stand but Jalandoni is controlling the position. Stone trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Jalandoni postures up.
Jalandoni stops Stone from standing up. Jalandoni drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jalandoni jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Stone is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jalandoni is controlling him.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Stone closes the distance and clinches. Stone manages to pull guard.

Jalandoni is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Jalandoni can't do much from the bottom here. Stone lands some shots froms side control. Stone punishes Jalandoni's body with a nice straight punch. Jalandoni with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Stone to counter with a crisp jab. Stone clinches. Jalandoni takes a shot to the head. Stone is pushing Jalandoni up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Stone's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Stone misses with a double jab.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Stone creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Stone lands on the inside with an uppercut. Stone scores with a shot to the side of Jalandoni's head. Jalandoni tries to stall but Stone uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Stone has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Jalandoni regains guard immediately.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone distracts Jalandoni with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Jalandoni trying to keep a closed guard but Stone is proving a slippery customer.
Stone makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Stone chips away with some ground and pound. Stone tries to free his leg and advance position but Jalandoni is retaining full guard. Stone trying to control but Jalandoni is working from the bottom. Stone knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jalandoni on the ground. Stone trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jalandoni's guard. Stone controlling from the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Stone lands a couple of elbows. Stone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jalandoni swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jalandoni trying to keep a closed guard but Stone is proving a slippery customer.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Stone takes the fight into the clinch. Roy Stone is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Stone lands a shoulder strike.
And that's the end of the fight! Roy Stone showed his dominance in that final round. Well Stone has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
