Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Antony McNally (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Labalo Ypeta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ypeta's choice of entrance music: heartbreaker. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Labalo Ypeta! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McNally lands with a nice combination. Ypeta backs away looking to recover. Ypeta tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ypeta tries a head kick but it misses.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ypeta. McNally tries to clinch but Ypeta is having none of it. McNally goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Ypeta wants to clinch and McNally makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Ypeta throws a lazy head kick and McNally counters with a nice body kick. McNally closes the distance and pushes Ypeta back into the cage. McNally escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McNally goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. McNally fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Labalo Ypeta is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick by Ypeta misses and McNally counters with a three punch combo that has Ypeta backing up. Ypeta nods at McNally to acknowledge the strikes. Ypeta throws a sloppy head kick and McNally counters with a series of strikes. Ypeta will be more careful next time no doubt. Ypeta misses with a leg kick and McNally counters with a slapping leg kick. McNally rushes Ypeta and presses him up against the cage. McNally escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Ypeta darts in trying to clinch and McNally counters with a nice double leg into half guard. McNally missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McNally wants to free his trapped foot but Ypeta is holding on for dear life with his legs. Ypeta is staying active underneath McNally, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Ypeta is looking to get back to is feet but McNally passes into side control.
Ypeta is trying to escape and get back to his feet. McNally is looking to take a break and control but Ypeta is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McNally decides to stand back up. Ypeta chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McNally can pounce on him.
Ypeta closes the distance but McNally moves to the side and McNally counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Ypeta wants to get back to his feet. McNally misses with a head shot. Ypeta uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McNally tries to free his leg and advance position but Ypeta is retaining full guard. McNally is looking to work some ground and pound but Ypeta has wrist control. McNally trying to control the position from guard on top but Ypeta is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McNally is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ypeta keeping moving, preventing McNally from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McNally looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ypeta tries to clinch and McNally counters by clinching up. McNally pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. McNally misses with a wild combination.

Ypeta wants to stand but McNally is controlling his posture from full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McNally lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ypeta! McNally working away from the top, dropping strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McNally with shots to the head and body - Ypeta looks very uncomfortable down there. McNally punching from mount but Ypeta doing a good job of avoiding damage. Ypeta is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Ypeta is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. McNally can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ypeta is looking to escape. McNally lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McNally lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

McNally is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ypeta can do to turn this around? Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McNally wants to control the pace but Ypeta is squirming around nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ypeta gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. McNally shoots in and bounces Ypeta off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. McNally looking to pass the guard. McNally tries to stand but Ypeta is controlling from the bottom. Ypeta takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. McNally stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ypeta swivels though and keeps the full guard. McNally throws and elbow that misses. Ypeta uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McNally's guard. Nice move by Ypeta! Ypeta trying to stand up but can't free himself from McNally's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ypeta postures up.
Ypeta won't allow McNally to get back to his feet. McNally has a closed guard, preventing Ypeta from standing up. Antony McNally overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ypeta throws a head kick that misses and McNally counters with a slapping leg kick. Ypeta throws a lazy head kick and McNally counters with an inside leg kick. McNally misses with a series of wild punches.
Labalo Ypeta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
