Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tupac Saulnier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Action Jackson!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson ducks under a wild hook from Saulnier.
Saulnier misses with an uppercut.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Saulnier tries to roll over but Jackson keeps him under control.

Saulnier tries to kick Jackson off but Jackson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Jackson is nestled in close to Saulnier, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Saulnier throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jackson on the side of the head.

Jackson misses with a takedown attempt - Saulnier sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Jackson darts in and clinches Saulnier up against the cage.

Jackson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jackson shoots in and bounces Saulnier off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jackson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Saulnier looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jackson is one step ahead there.

Jackson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Saulnier's head.

Jackson stands and steps away. Saulnier gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jackson is defended easily by Saulnier.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Jackson moves out of range as Saulnier strikes.
Jackson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Saulnier avoids it really well and circles away.
Saulnier shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackson but Jackson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jackson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Saulnier clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jackson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Saulnier's guard.
Saulnier is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Saulnier throws the left hand but Jackson avoids the punch easily.
Saulnier wants to clinch up but Jackson keeps it at a distance.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Saulnier tries to land a front kick but Jackson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Jackson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
