The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slevin tries to land a leg kick but Jansen saw it coming and moves away.
Slevin cracks Jansen with an open hand slap.
Jansen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Slevin circles away quickly and effectively.
Jansen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Jansen gets the takedown into side control.
Slevin regains half guard, as Jansen was trying to land strikes.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Slevin gets back to full guard.
Slevin working for a triangle but Jansen defends it easily.
Slevin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jansen sitting in guard here, content to control.
Slevin is looking to sinch up a triangle. Jansen throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Slevin's body to avoid the submission. Slevin has instead reached around Jansen's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Slevin arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
