Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gillespie keeps the fight on the outside.
Gillespie shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. aquino is trying to defend but Gillespie finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
aquino has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Gillespie escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Gillespie!
Gillespie trying to control the position but aquino is working away.
Gillespie controlling the position from side mount.

aquino pushes Gillespie away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gillespie gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
aquino is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gillespie's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gillespie is trying to work for a kimura but aquino is defending well.
aquino tries to get to full guard but Gillespie has control of the leg.

aquino had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gillespie is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. aquino Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gillespie's back instead.
aquino is looking to control Gillespie but Gillespie is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Gillespie is trying to defend against the choke here but aquino has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. aquino Tightens the hold and Gillespie taps out furiously! aquino displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
