Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hjalmarson throws a leg kick but midoux sees it coming and checks it nicely.
midoux throws a right and a left that Hjalmarson avoids nicely.
Hjalmarson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Hjalmarson slaps away a takedown attempt from midoux, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Erik Hjalmarson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hjalmarson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps midoux's head backwards.
Hjalmarson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hjalmarson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hjalmarson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

midoux switches off momentarily and Hjalmarson cracks him with a monster right hand! midoux topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Hjalmarson dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Hjalmarson!
