Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ted mandingo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max House (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max House will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ted mandingo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max House!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

House fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. mandingo sprawls well initially but House persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
mandingo is doing well to control the position and prevent House from advancing to side control.
mandingo wants to improve his position but House is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
House performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
House tries to pass the half guard into mount. mandingo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
mandingo wants to get back to his feet.
mandingo is looking to improve his position.
Still in half guard, House seems content to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
mandingo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

House decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
mandingo is looking for a sweep. House is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
House controlling the pace.
mandingo trying to control here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
House perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
mandingo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

mandingo manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

House shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Max House dominated that round.

mandingo fails with the takedown

and House counters with a shoot takedown. mandingo fights it but they end up in guard.
House looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
mandingo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
mandingo pulls House in close to prevent any damage.

House passes mandingo's left leg - he's now in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
mandingo looks like he's trying to stand up.
House is keen to just control but mandingo is a slippery customer.
mandingo tries to kick House off but House keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
House is looking to take a break and control but mandingo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
House tries to pass to full mount but mandingo defends it.
Still in half guard, House seems content to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
mandingo trying to hold on to House's head to control him but House postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

House closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
mandingo is looking to reverse the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Max House showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

and House decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in mandingo's guard.
House sitting in guard, not really doing much.
House trying to control but mandingo is working from the bottom.

House content to stall in guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Let's hope that House has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
House's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
mandingo wants to get back to his feet but House is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
mandingo trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Max House is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
House looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

And that's the end of the fight!
Max House comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got House winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
