Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Nycz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bubbles Lahey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Nycz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bubbles Lahey! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice jab there from Lahey. Nycz connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Nycz misses with a wild combination.
Nycz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lahey thuds his right hand into Nycz's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Lahey scores with a jab. Nycz acknowledges it with a nod of the head. A punch combination from Nycz misses. Lahey avoids a punch combination nicely.
A head kick from Lahey lands but Nycz takes it in his stride.
It looks like Paul Nycz has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lahey fails to land with a series of punches.
Lahey sizes up Nycz with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Nycz swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lahey counters with a lovely shot to the body. Nycz is breathing heavily. Lahey looks for the body kick but Nycz saw that one coming. Nycz throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lahey counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. A slapping leg kick lands for Lahey.
Lahey closes the distance and pushes Nycz back into the cage. Lahey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nycz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Nycz is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lahey is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nycz keeping moving, preventing Lahey from controlling successfully. Nycz wants to improve his position but instead Lahey has moved into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Nycz moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nycz working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Lahey has passed into half guard!
Nycz is trying to escape back to his feet but Lahey uses the scramble to pass into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nycz wants to get back to his feet. Lahey wants to control but Nycz is keeping him busy. Nycz explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nycz shoots in looking for a takedown. Lahey tries to sprawl out of it but Nycz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lahey manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Lahey tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nycz was well out of range. Poor timing from Lahey. Lahey lands a two punch combo.
Nycz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Lahey swings for the body but Nycz moves out of range.
Lahey moves into the clinch successfully.
Lahey escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lahey is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Lahey chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Nycz closes the distance but Lahey moves to the side and Lahey cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nycz falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lahey counters with a big head kick but Nycz shrugs it off. Lahey goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Nycz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lahey moves out of range and avoids them all easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bubbles Lahey dominated that round. The cut man is working on Paul Nycz's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Lahey throws a series of punches but Nycz avoids them all with ease. Lahey fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nycz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lahey paws at him with a jab and circles away. Paul Nycz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lahey has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lahey there as he acknowledges the shot. Nycz lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Nycz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lahey moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nycz keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Nycz lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Nycz. Nycz takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Paul Nycz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lahey throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nycz throws a nice looking combination but Lahey bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lahey works over Nycz's head and body with a nice combination. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Some wild striking there from Lahey.
Bubbles Lahey seems to be getting the better of the standup. Lahey throws a jab but it's blocked by Nycz. Nycz throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lahey counters with a nice body shot. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nycz fails to land with a series of punches.
Lahey throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Danga de danga de dang - Lahey scores with a four punch combination! Nycz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lahey as he jumps to the side. Lahey lands a body shot.
Nycz tries to bum rush Lahey with a series of wild strikes but Lahey uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lahey stuns Nycz with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Nycz misses with a straight left. Lahey lands a jab to the nose. Nycz swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lahey counters with a right hand to the body. Nycz ducks under a wild hook from Lahey. Lahey throws a head kick that misses. Lahey works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Nycz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lahey is trying hard to land a takedown here. Nycz sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Nycz lands a two punch combo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lahey throws a right hand that Nycz ducks under and follows up with a left that Nycz also avoids with ease. Lahey misses with a double jab.
Lahey fails with the takedown. Paul Nycz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bubbles Lahey. Lahey avoids the head kick by Nycz.

Nycz misses with a hook from the clinch. Lahey has Nycz pressed against the cage, preventing Nycz from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Nycz is trying to break the clinch but Lahey is controlling him. Nycz changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lahey fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lahey, as that shot connected.

Nycz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lahey moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nycz connects with a looping right hand.

Nycz tries for a takedown but Lahey sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lahey shoots in for a takedown but Nycz shows good takedown defense. Lahey misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Nycz throws out a powerful jab. Lahey ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nycz moves away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lahey pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A combination from Lahey does no damage. Lahey throws a right and a left that Nycz avoids nicely. Lahey throws a right hand that Nycz ducks under and follows up with a left that Nycz also avoids with ease. Nycz defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lahey. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bubbles Lahey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Paul Nycz's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Lahey breaks the clinch.
Lahey shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lahey was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Nycz wants to try and get back to his feet. Lahey tries to control but Nycz wriggling away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nycz wants to hold on but Lahey pushes him away. Nycz is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Paul Nycz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nycz throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
And that's the end of the fight! Bubbles Lahey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lahey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
