The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cotto tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Deal paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Deal lands with a kick to the ribs.
Deal buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Deal connects with a right hand. Cotto shakes it off.
It looks like Miguel Cotto has been cut.
Cotto has a takedown stuffed.
Miguel Cotto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Deal lands with a nice body kick.
Deal slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
