Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Reilly Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hannibal Lecter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Reilly Bell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hannibal Lecter!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Lecter.
Bell misses with a combination

and Lecter counters by moving into the clinch.
Lecter gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bell.

Lecter has picked Bell up - he's going for a ride! Lecter dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Bell is pressing down on Lecter's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Bell is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bell wants to sweep but no luck.
Lecter controlling from the top position.
Lecter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bell had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lecter is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bell Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lecter's back instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lecter looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Bell wants to control but Lecter manages to buck him off and is now in Bell's guard! Nice work there by Lecter!

Bell is looking for a triangle but Lecter pushes his legs off easily.
Lecter lands a couple of digs.
Lecter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lecter's guard.

Lecter escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Lecter is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Lecter pulls Bell in close to prevent any damage.

Bell wants to pass to mount but Lecter is defending the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bell takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Lecter shoots in for a takedown but Bell shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Bell feints and as Lecter raises his hands in defense, Bell changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lecter is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bell drops back looking for a leg! Lecter is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lecter manages to kick Bell off! Bell jumps back into Lecter's guard.

Bell passes Lecter's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Bell seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lecter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Bell is really struggling to control Lecter but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Bell is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Lecter is looking for a sweep. Bell is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lecter tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Bell has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Bell lands a nice shot to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Hannibal Lecter will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Lecter stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lecter wants it to stay on the feet.
Lecter moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Lecter is looking to clinch.

Lecter darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bell wants to control but Lecter is keeping busy.
Bell is looking to improve his position.
Bell moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Bell has his foot on Lecter's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lecter works his way back into a safe position though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lecter wants to get up but he can't break Bell's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bell is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lecter's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lecter's back!

Bell is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Lecter knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Lecter for a finish.

Lecter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lecter has managed to get both his arms back between Bell's legs - danger averted.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lecter tries to avoid it but Bell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lecter to the ground. Lecter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lecter lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.

Bell postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lecter is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bell, into his guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Reilly Bell showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Bell has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
