Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Cunnigham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Cunnigham's choice of entrance music: Jeremy. Jeremy Cunnigham is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jeremy Cunnigham! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cunnigham napping and manages to drive through into side control! James cracks Cunnigham with a big right hand but Cunnigham just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
James knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cunnigham on the ground. Cunnigham can't do much from the bottom here. James lands some shots froms side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. James in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Cunnigham on the wrong end of some ground and pound. James taking a breather here. Cunnigham tries to improve position but can't. Cunnigham sneaks back into half guard. James looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Cunnigham is looking for a sweep. James is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Cunnigham looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Cunnigham is refusing to be controlled, as James sits in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. James shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Cunnigham is looking to control James's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cunnigham avoid being mounted? James throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. James missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Cunnigham looking for submissions off his back. James prevents Cunnigham from improving his position. Cunnigham is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of James's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take James's back!
