Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scooby Doo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tap Out (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Scooby Doo Theme Song. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Scooby Doo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tap Out!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doo misses with a two punch combination.
Doo throws a leg kick which misses Out's front leg but catches the back leg as Out tries to avoid it.
Doo tries to clinch up but Out circles away and keeps his distance.
Out avoids a punch combination nicely.
Out shoots in for a takedown but Doo shows good takedown defense.
Out is trying hard to land a takedown here. Doo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Out gets the takedown into side control.
Doo trying to remain calm as Out controls from the top position.
Doo tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Out moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Let's hope that Out has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Doo is breathing heavily.
Out's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Despite being in the dominant position, Tap Out just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Doo looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Doo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Out is fending him off so far but Doo persists. Nope, Out circles away and we're back to standing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Doo throws and low kick but Out moves out of range easily.
Doo misses with a series of wild punches.
Out shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Doo as he jumps to the side.
Scooby Doo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tap Out.

and Out counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Out controlling the action here.

Despite being in the dominant position, Tap Out just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Out shoots in and drives through. Doo sprawls well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Out drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Out tries for a takedown. No joy.
Out drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Doo gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Doo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Doo throws a series of punches but Out avoids them all with ease.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tap Out dominated that round.

Out fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Doo sprawls well initially but Out persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Out perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Doo trying to control here.
Out takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

and Doo counters with a straight right hand.

Out closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Still in half guard, Out seems content to control.

Out tries to pass to full mount but Doo defends it.

Doo wants to control but Out is keeping busy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Out tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Doo swivels and escapes.
Out has a takedown stuffed.
Doo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Doo misses with a low kick.
Nice takedown defense from Out. No joy for Doo on that attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tap Out showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

and Doo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Out is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Doo gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Out is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Doo landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

The fighters are battling for position here. Out manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Out holds on and takes a little breather.

Doo leaves Out with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Doo moves into range and clinches up with Out.

Doo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Out circles away from the clinch attempt.
Out looks for a takedown but Doo sprawls well.
Scooby Doo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Doo walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Out checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Doo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Out.
Out keeps the fight on the outside.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Out.

Doo rushes Out and presses him up against the cage.
Doo is struggling to control the position.
Doo tries for a takedown. No joy.
Out is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Doo pulls him back up using the underhooks.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Out has Doo pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Doo manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Doo lands an elbow just above Out 's eye.

Doo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Doo misses with a series of wild punches.
Out avoids the head kick by Doo.
Scooby Doo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Out with a lazy takedown attempt

and Doo counters by clinching up.
Out tries for a takedown but Doo manages to get underhooks.
Doo lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Doo has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Out clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Out manages to reverse the position and now he's in Doo's guard. Nice work there by Out.

And that's the end of the fight!
Scooby Doo showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Out has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
