Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Sabrol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Gregorivich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sabrol comes into the arena with Snap Your Fingers Snap Your Neck blaring out of the sound system. Gregorivich is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Pot. Ricardo Sabrol could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Victor Gregorivich's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Sabrol! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Victor Gregorivich! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab lands there for Sabrol. Gregorivich shoots in and bounces Sabrol off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. Sabrol wants to stand but Gregorivich is controlling the position. Sabrol is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Gregorivich trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gregorivich wants to get up but he can't break Sabrol's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Gregorivich won't allow Sabrol to get back to his feet. Gregorivich looking to pass the guard. Sabrol has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Sabrol keeping moving, preventing Gregorivich from controlling successfully. Gregorivich thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sabrol bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gregorivich's guard. Gregorivich isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Sabrol stacks Gregorivich on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Sabrol! Sabrol wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gregorivich, who protects the arm well. Sabrol is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Gregorivich will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Sabrol trying to control the action but Gregorivich is working from the bottom. Gregorivich wants to control but Sabrol postures up. Gregorivich regains half guard. Gregorivich throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Sabrol is thwarting Gregorivich's attempts to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sabrol wants to control but Gregorivich is keeping him busy. Sabrol works his way into side control.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Sabrol decides to stand back up. Sabrol steps back and let's Gregorivich get back to his feet. Sabrol lets loose with a powerful body kick. Gregorivich will feel that in the morning. Gregorivich tries to clinch but Sabrol is having none of it. Sabrol tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Gregorivich clinches up against the ropes. Gregorivich blocks the elbow strike.
Gregorivich jumps guard.
Gregorivich looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sabrol avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Gregorivich looks gassed! Gregorivich controls Sabrol momentarily but Sabrol frees himself. Sabrol wants to pass the guard but Gregorivich is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Gregorivich tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gregorivich is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Sabrol passes easily into side control. Nice work. Gregorivich looks to move to half guard but instead Sabrol has passed into mount! Damn! Sabrol is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gregorivich has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Gregorivich tries to reverse the position but Sabrol maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sabrol lands with some strikes. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sabrol cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Gregorivich tries to hold on but Sabrol pushes him away. Gregorivich holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Sabrol tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Sabrol avoids the attempt from Gregorivich to control. Sabrol trying to control but he's not successful this time. Sabrol landing strikes from the mount and Gregorivich is in trouble! Sabrol looking to control but Gregorivich is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Gregorivich can't escape the position.
Sabrol lands a big shot there that rocks Gregorivich but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricardo Sabrol dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Gregorivich misses with a series of wild punches.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Gregorivich. Sabrol is trying to improve his position. Sabrol wants to control but Gregorivich postures up. Sabrol is looking to regain half guard here but Gregorivich keeps moving and retains side control. Gregorivich trying to control the position but Sabrol is working away. Sabrol is being controlled here. Gregorivich working away.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Gregorivich tries to clinch there but Sabrol circles away.
A head kick misses from Gregorivich.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gregorivich has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Gregorivich is rocked!
It looks like Victor Gregorivich has been cut. Sabrol misses with a two punch combination.
Gregorivich tries for a takedown but Sabrol sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sabrol displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Gregorivich is still on wobbly legs! Can Sabrol finish him? Sabrol jabs at Gregorivich's body. Sabrol punishes Gregorivich's body with a nice straight punch. A head kick by Sabrol misses and Gregorivich counters with a single leg into guard. Sabrol didn't expect that. Gregorivich seems to have recovered his senses. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Gregorivich looking to pass the guard. Gregorivich content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Sabrol has locked up a guillotine! Sabrol's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Gregorivich is holding on here and Sabrol must be using up a lot of energy. Gregorivich has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Sabrol gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
