Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teddy Parkinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo looks to land a right hand but Parkinson moved out of range.
Parkinson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Aldo.
Parkinson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Aldo has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Parkinson finds it's way round the side to connect with Aldo's head.

Aldo throws a hook to the side of Parkinson's head but Parkinson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Aldo, as that shot connected.

Aldo takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Parkinson throws a solid leg kick but Aldo takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Parkinson.
Aldo throws a hook but Parkinson avoids it easily.
Aldo scores with a nice head shot.
Parkinson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Parkinson walks into a jab.
Aldo slips under a jab.
Jose Aldo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Aldo misses with a hook. Parkinson ducked under it nicely.
Parkinson throws a jab but it's blocked by Aldo.
Parkinson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Aldo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Parkinson is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Parkinson has gone for a leg lock! Aldo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Parkinson's guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Aldo decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Parkinson, up you get!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Aldo drops Parkinson with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Parkinson! Aldo dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
