The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee lands a two punch combo.
A big right from kimura misses. kimura throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
kimura stuffs the takedown. kimura loads up on a big right hand but Lee slips the punch. kimura throws an overhand right that lands on Lee's shoulder, as Lee tries to avoid the shot. kimura tries for a takedown but Lee sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lee shoots in and drives through. kimura sprawls well. Lee is looking to clinch. Lee looks to land a combination. kimura sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. kimura fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Lee is out of range. kimura shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. kimura showed some decent athleticism there. kimura is trying to work for a kimura but Lee is defending well.
Lee tries to roll over but kimura keeps him under control. Lee missing with punches from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. kimura moves nicely into side control. kimura working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Lee is looking to reverse the position. kimura is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lee knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. kimura landing a few strikes. kimura working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. kimura has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. kimura working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Lee throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
That's two minutes gone in the round. kimura trying to control the position but Lee is working away. Lee throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. kimura trying to control the position but Lee is working away. kimura looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. kimura blocks the strikes from Lee.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lee lands a little strike from the bottom. Lee is looking to work his way out of this bad position but kimura is controlling him well.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Lee shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. kimura defends it nicely. Masahiko kimura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Lee. kimura throws a low kick but it's checked well by Lee. Lee shoots for a takedown but kimura saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and kimura counters with a single leg into guard. Lee didn't expect that. Lee looks gassed! kimura drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. kimura seems to have locked his on tight now - Lee screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for kimura, as he picks up the win!
