Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nolan Baine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeff Austin! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Austin dodges the punch combination from Baine.
Baine shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Austin blocks a head kick by Baine.
Baine fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Horrible takedown by Baine or perhaps it was just good defense by Austin which made him look bad. Austin blocks a leg kick. A punch combination from Baine misses. Baine lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Austin wants to clinch up but Baine keeps it at a distance. Austin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Baine stuffs the takedown attempt from Austin. Austin gets slowly back to his feet. Baine misses with the combination.
Baine closes the distance and clinches. Austin is trying to trip Baine. He has hold of a leg but Baine is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Austin persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Austin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baine is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Austin stands up from Baine's guard - Austin perhaps looking for a knockout. Austin is looking to clinch. Austin pushes Baine up against the cage in a clinch. Austin tightens his grip and picks Baine up, before dumping him to the ground. Baine manages to land in guard. Austin throws a strike but Baine rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Baine is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Austin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Austin has escaped and now he's on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baine has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Austin is pushing down on Baine's leg trying to pass to half guard. Baine is fighting to maintain full guard but Austin has managed to sneak the leg through. Austin is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Baine reverses the position - he's now on top in Austin's guard. Baine sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Austin's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Austin makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Austin wants to clinch. Baine with a lazy takedown attempt
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. and Austin counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Baine is breathing heavily. Austin with the ground and pound but Baine uses the opportunity to regain guard. Baine has a closed guard, preventing Austin from standing up. Austin trying to control but Baine is working from the bottom. Austin wants to stand but Baine is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Austin trying to control but Baine is working from the bottom. Austin is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Austin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeff Austin dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Baine thows a leg kick but Austin checks it and Austin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Baine won't be happy with that. Austin working away. Austin trying to control the position but Baine is working away. The strikes coming from Austin are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Baine is trying to get back to half guard. Austin lands some shots froms side control. Austin working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Austin landing a few strikes. Austin working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Austin decides to stand back up. Austin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Baine counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Austin's guard now. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Austin looking for a sweep. Not yet Austin, not yet. Austin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Baine is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Austin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Baine's back instead. Baine manages to scramble and ends up in full guard, under a barage of strikes . Great composure from Baine.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baine looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Baine is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Austin is controlling him. Austin tries to stand but Baine is controlling from the bottom. Austin looking to pass the guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Baine falls off balance throwing a combination
and Austin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Baine! Baine tries to hold on but Austin pushes him away. Austin lands a big shot there that rocks Baine but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Austin postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Baine looks a forlorn figure.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Austin controlling from mount. Austin swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Baine is now in Austin's guard. A big mistake from Austin there, giving up the dominant position! Baine gets to his feet - Austin follows without any prompting. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Austin scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Austin is looking for a kimura but Baine is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Austin to get the leverage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeff Austin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Austin drives through with a takedown into guard. Austin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Austin stopping the sweep attempt from Baine. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Austin won't allow Baine to get back to his feet. Austin wants to control from the top but Baine keeps moving. Baine controls Austin momentarily but Austin frees himself. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

A low kick from Baine is predictable there and Austin counters with a nice double leg into guard. Austin sitting in guard, not really doing much. Austin wants to stand but Baine is controlling his posture from full guard. Austin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Austin throws and elbow that misses. Baine uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Austin's guard. Nice move by Baine! Austin pushes Baine off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Baine misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Austin fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Baine lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Austin circles away quickly and effectively. Baine looks to clinch and Austin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Baine! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Austin sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Austin is in the full mount, landing strikes. Austin unloading with bombs! Austin lands a heavy elbow. Baine is working to get back to half guard.
Austin looking to control but Baine is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Nolan Baine has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Austin content just to control the position here. Baine is squirming around, avoiding Austin's attempts to control the action. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Baine tries to lock up and control but Austin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that's the end of the fight! Jeff Austin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Austin winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
