Hansen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hansen looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
No luck for Payne with that takedown attempt.
Payne wants to clinch up but Hansen keeps it at a distance.
Hansen doesn't manage to clinch there - Payne circles away.
A clash of legs there as Payne blocks the low kick.
Hansen tries to clinch but Payne moves away
and Payne counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Payne.
Payne is stalling in the full guard.
Payne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hansen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Payne is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Hansen is in trouble now - Payne has advanced to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Payne is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Payne!
