Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Swick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Leroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leroy has chosen renegade as his entrance music. Chris Leroy told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Swick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Leroy! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Joseph Jones and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swick looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Leroy is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Swick is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Swick trying to control the action but Leroy is working from the bottom. Swick is working for a kimura but Leroy is defending it quite comfortably.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Swick in particular looking to stall. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leroy is looking to improve his position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Swick sizes up Leroy with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Swick works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Leroy doesn't succeed with the takedown and Swick counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Leroy trying to control but Swick postures up.
Swick trying to mount his opponent but Leroy defends it. Leroy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Swick is working away from the top position though. Leroy is controlling Swick's position as best he can from this difficult position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Swick looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Leroy moves into full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Leroy working a defensive guard here.
Leroy wants to sweep here but Swick controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swick wants to pass the guard but Leroy is keeping the position. Swick loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Leroy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Leroy has a closed guard, preventing Swick from standing up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Swick feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Leroy is looking for a triangle but Swick pushes his legs off easily.
Leroy looks gassed! Swick pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Leroy is keeping the position for now. Leroy throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leroy is controlling Swick's posture. Swick trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Leroy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Swick controls the pace. Swick stands up from Leroy's guard - Swick perhaps looking for a knockout. Swick shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Leroy's guard. Leroy keeping moving, preventing Swick from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Swick dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Leroy closes the distance looking to clinch and Swick counters by clinching up. Swick's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mike Swick is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Swick closes the distance and clinches. Swick manages to break the clinch.
Leroy lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Mike Swick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Swick decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Swick is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Leroy is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Mike Swick!
