Sabrol has chosen Snap Your Fingers Snap Your Neck as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mick Lenny!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Sabrol!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sabrol scores with a takedown into Lenny's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Lenny wants to stand up but Sabrol is controlling him.
Lenny knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sabrol on the ground.
Sabrol trying to control but Lenny is working from the bottom.

Sabrol works over Lenny with some ground and pound from guard.

Lenny is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sabrol is controlling him.

Sabrol has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Sabrol looking to control but Lenny is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Lenny tries to hold on but Sabrol postures up.

Sabrol is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lenny has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Lenny tries to reverse the position but Sabrol maintains control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sabrol trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Lenny has given up his back here. Will Sabrol look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Sabrol looking to break Lenny's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Lenny remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Sabrol will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Sabrol has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Lenny's body.

Sabrol is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sabrol is not going to allow Lenny to sit and survive in this position.
Sabrol somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

Sabrol has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Lenny has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Lenny manages to reverse the position and now he's in Sabrol's guard. Nice work there by Lenny.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lenny wants to control from the top but Sabrol keeps moving.

Lenny has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sabrol is proving hard to escape from.

Sabrol looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sabrol looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Lenny avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Lenny tries to stand but Sabrol is controlling from the bottom.
Sabrol manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lenny manages to get himself to full guard.
Lenny throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ricardo Sabrol dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Nice uppercut there from Lenny.
Lenny lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Sabrol looks for a takedown but Lenny sprawls well.
Lenny throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sabrol moves in looking to clinch but Lenny pushes him off.
Sabrol wants to clinch up but Lenny keeps it at a distance.
Sabrol looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lenny misses with a wild combination.
Mick Lenny seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sabrol on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Lenny has managed to clinch.

Sabrol has Lenny pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lenny manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Mick Lenny has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricardo Sabrol.

Sabrol has clasped his hands together around Lenny's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Lenny is trying to improve his position.
Lenny is trying to control Sabrol's posture but Sabrol avoids it.

Sabrol tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sabrol has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lenny is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Sabrol is controlling him well.

Lenny is not content to let Sabrol control the position.
Lenny tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Well, with Sabrol on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Lenny is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
A bit of a pause in the action here. Sabrol controlling the positon.
Lenny staying busy and making it hard for Sabrol to control.

Lenny rolls, trying to escape but Sabrol keeps control of the position.

Sabrol has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Lenny! Can he survive? No! He's out! Sabrol gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ricardo Sabrol!
