0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ruben Corpuz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Accion Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez stuffs the takedown. Sanchez looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Sanchez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Sanchez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Accion Sanchez has been cut. Corpuz gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Corpuz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Corpuz closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sanchez did well to prevent Corpuz getting side control. Corpuz is pressing down on Sanchez's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sanchez is holding on for now. Corpuz content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Corpuz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Corpuz drops an elbow to the side of Sanchez's head. Corpuz is thwarting Sanchez's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corpuz performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Corpuz in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Sanchez tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Corpuz!
