Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Lock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stewart Tennent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrew Lock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stewart Tennent! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tennent scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Lock is trying to control Tennent's posture but Tennent avoids it. Lock tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Tennent easily slips into full mount! Tennent prevents Lock from getting the reversal. Lock tries to control the position but Tennent now has his back.
Lock trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Lock's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Tennent working for a choke but Lock is defending well. Lock is trying to get back to his feet but Tennent has full control of the position and if anything, Lock has just worked his way into a worse spot. Tennent looking for the choke but no joy. Lock is trying to break free.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lock trying to control but not successfully. Lock preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Tennent. Lock trying to control the position but Tennent manages to sink in the hooks. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lock tries to roll but Tennent sticks to his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lock staying busy and making it hard for Tennent to control. Lock trying to control the action but Tennent just sinks the hooks in. Lock is trying to stand back up. Lock looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tennent gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Tennent tightening his grip on Lock, looking for the choke. Tennent not allowing Lock to control his hands. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lock looking very determined here, making life difficult for Tennent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stewart Tennent dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Lock throws a push kick but Tennent slaps the foot to one side. Lock throws a sloppy head kick and Tennent moves out of range easily. Tennent scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Lock misses with a takedown so Tennent counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Lock is trying to control the position but Tennent postures up. Tennent drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tennent jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Tennent passes Lock's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Tennent stops Lock from getting back to his feet.
Lock wants to get back to full guard but Tennent has passed into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lock is wriggling around trying to escape.
Lock gets back to half guard. Lock controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Lock manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Tennent is breathing heavily. Lock is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tennent defends well. Lock is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lock keeping full guard, as Tennent tries to pass. Tennent works a leg free and moves into half guard. Lock trying to control but Tennent postures up.
Lock is trying to stand.
Tennent is trying to control. Lock wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lock actively working from the bottom here. Lock trying to control from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Tennent checks the leg kick nicely there.
Lock doesn't succeed with the takedown and Tennent counters with a single leg into guard. Lock didn't expect that. Tennent wants to control from the top but Lock keeps moving. Lock is striking off his back. Tennent thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Lock trying to control from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lock is trying to get back to full guard. Lock is trying to control but can't.
Tennent tries to pass to full mount but Lock defends it. Lock pushes Tennent off but Tennent dives into side control.
Lock is looking for a sweep.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Lock misses with a takedown and Tennent counters with a shoot takedown. Lock fights it but they end up in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stewart Tennent showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Tennent circles away from the clinch attempt and Tennent counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tennent. Lock tries to land a sweep but no joy. Lock doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Stewart Tennent has got the better of the ground game so far. Lock has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tennent is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lock. Lock trying his best to control but Tennent has mounted him. Lock gets back to half guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lock trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Tennent manages to pass to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lock working to try and regain half guard.
Lock tries to control the position but Tennent now has his back.
Lock just trying to survive but Tennent is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Lock has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Lock trying to control but not successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lock prevents Tennent from getting a body triangle. Lock tries to escape but Tennent has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Lock staying busy and making it hard for Tennent to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tennent is not going to allow Lock to sit and survive in this position. Tennent is working the ground and pound. Can Lock escape? Lock can't escape the position.

Lock drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tennent dives on top into guard. Tennent avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

And that's the end of the fight! Stewart Tennent comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Tennent has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
