The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Alenitchev. No joy for Kruschev on that attempt.
Alenitchev shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Aleksei Kruschev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kruschev shoots and misses

and Alenitchev counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kruschev thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Alenitchev drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Alenitchev seems to have locked his on tight now - Kruschev screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Alenitchev, as he picks up the win!
