Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Morten Iversen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerald Brill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Iversen comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem - Bully. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Gerald Brill enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Morten Iversen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gerald Brill! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brill fails in his attempt to clinch. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Iversen is defended easily by Brill. Brill lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice sprawl there from Brill as Iversen shoots in. Brill moves in looking to clinch but Iversen pushes him off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Iversen shoots in for a takedown but Brill shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Morten Iversen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brill gets a clinch. Iversen can't get the takedown.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Brill. Iversen is working Brill over against the cage. Iversen takes a knee to the side of the body. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Iversen tries to score a body lock takedown but Brill shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Brill looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Brill landing knees to the head.

Brill presses Iversen against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Brill tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Iversen avoids it. Brill is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Iversen is defending well for now. Brill wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Iversen has him pressed against the cage. Iversen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Brill avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A battle for position here, against the cage. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Brill obliges.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Iversen drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brill pulls his leg out and moves away.
Iversen is breathing heavily. Iversen shoots in and bounces Brill off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Iversen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Brill wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Iversen sitting in guard here, content to control. Iversen won't allow Brill to sweep him here. Iversen wants to control from the top but Brill keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Iversen postures up in Brill's guard and throws a big left but Brill blocks it. Iversen postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Iversen won't allow Brill to get back to his feet. Brill looking to control.
Brill keeping full guard, as Iversen tries to pass. Brill wants to sweep here but Iversen controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Iversen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brill's guard. Brill is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Iversen dives into side control.
Iversen is trying to get an arm triangle but Brill is defending well. Iversen trying to control the action but Brill is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Morten Iversen will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Iversen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Brill scores with a slapping inside leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brill chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Iversen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Iversen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brill circles away. No luck for Iversen with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Morten Iversen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Iversen looks to clinch and Brill counters with a leg kick. Iversen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brill tries to avoid it but Iversen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brill to the ground. Brill escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Iversen tries to clinch but Brill moves away and Brill counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Brill lands a two punch combo.
Iversen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brill as he jumps to the side. Brill swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brill throws a sloppy head kick and Iversen moves out of range easily. No luck for Iversen with that takedown attempt. Iversen has his takedown stuffed and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Brill throws a quick inside leg kick. Iversen shoots for a double leg takedown but Brill sprawls well. He's pushed Iversen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Morten Iversen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Brill.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Brill tries to clinch up and Iversen counters with a single leg into guard. Brill didn't expect that. Iversen trying to control but Brill is working from the bottom. Iversen wants to pass the guard but Brill is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gerald Brill showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Iversen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Iversen takes a jab right on the kisser.
Iversen shoots in for a takedown but Brill shows good takedown defense. Brill punishes Iversen's body with a nice straight punch. Iversen shoots in but Brill avoids the takedown attempt easily. Iversen shoots in for a double leg but Brill sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brill has Iversen up against the cage in a clinch.
Brill pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Iversen blocks a head kick by Brill.
Brill scores with a spinning back kick! Brill wants to clinch but Iversen slips to the side and Iversen decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brill's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Iversen tries to free his leg and advance position but Brill is retaining full guard. Brill is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Brill lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Iversen! Iversen is looking to improve his position but Brill isn't that keen on the idea. Brill looking to control and managing it successfully. Iversen can't escape the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Gerald Brill comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Brill has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
