The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Machida tries to clinch but Gracie is having none of it.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Machida as he jumps to the side.
Machida misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gracie showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Machida.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Machida tries to get to full guard but Gracie has control of the leg.

Machida is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gracie is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Machida is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
