PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Dillinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dillinger comes to the cage accompanied by Randy Orten Theme Song. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Dillinger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Max Michaels!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michaels fails with a takedown attempt.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Dillinger.

Dillinger dives in and grabs Michaels's left leg, looking for a takedown. Michaels pushes down on Dillinger's head and hops out.

Michaels turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Michaels manages to end up in side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Michaels misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Michaels wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dillinger keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Michaels wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dillinger, who protects the arm well.
Michaels tries to score with some ground and pound. Dillinger controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Dillinger misses with a body kick.

Michaels shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Dillinger counters with a nice low kick that buckles Michaels's knee momentarily.
Horrible takedown by Michaels or perhaps it was just good defense by Dillinger which made him look bad.

Dillinger lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Michaels wants to improve his position but Dillinger is controlling well.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dillinger connects with a nice short shot to Michaels's temple.

I would just about give that final round to Max Michaels.
I think Michaels has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
