Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between muuhamed ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). muuhamed ali looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin tries to bum rush ali with a series of wild strikes but ali uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A nice combination there by Franklin.
The fight stays on the outside here - Franklin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

ali dodges the punch combination from Franklin.
Franklin tries to close the distance and clinch up but ali swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Franklin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has ali pinned against the cage. ali gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Franklin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
ali has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Franklin is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for ali.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

ali takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Franklin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in ali's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Franklin got a little sloppy there for a moment and ali has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Franklin has managed to get both his arms back between ali's legs - danger averted.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Franklin looking to hit a scissor sweep but ali is one step ahead there.

ali working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Franklin has passed into half guard!
Franklin is looking to take a break and control but ali is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
ali wants to stand back up but Franklin manages to pass into side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Franklin lands a nice forearm strike.

Franklin wants to control but ali is keeping him busy.

ali really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

John Franklin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Franklin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
