Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Calassa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Vukovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roberto Calassa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodrigo Vukovic! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vukovic shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Calassa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Calassa missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Vukovic desperately trying to maintain half guard. Vukovic throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Calassa sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Vukovic defending well though. Vukovic won't allow Calassa to pass to mount. Vukovic tries to get to full guard but Calassa has control of the leg. Calassa is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Calassa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Calassa is keen to just control but Vukovic is a slippery customer.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Calassa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Calassa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Vukovic moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vukovic changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Calassa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Calassa gets back to half guard. Calassa trying to control but Vukovic postures up.

Vukovic throwing shots but Calassa is blocking nicely. Calassa tries to get to full guard but Vukovic has control of the leg. Vukovic slows the pace down in half guard. Vukovic trying to control from Calassa's half guard. Calassa has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vukovic pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Calassa is keeping the position for now. Vukovic advances position into side control! Vukovic trying to control the position but Calassa is working away. Calassa is looking for a sweep. Vukovic trying to control the position but Calassa is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Calassa sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Calassa trying to hold on to Vukovic's head to control him but Vukovic postures up.
Calassa is looking to escape.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Calassa shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Vukovic counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Calassa's guard now. Vukovic decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Vukovic drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Calassa is breathing heavily. Calassa pushes Vukovic away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Vukovic gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Calassa tries to bench press Vukovic off him but Vukovic keeps the position. Vukovic wants to take a breather but Calassa manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Vukovic. Calassa lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Vukovic! Vukovic tries to lock up and control but Calassa gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Vukovic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Calassa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Vukovic avoids a series of strikes thrown by Calassa.
Vukovic is wriggling around trying to escape.
Calassa wants to control the pace but Vukovic is squirming around nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rodrigo Vukovic dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Calassa with a lazy takedown attempt and Vukovic counters by moving into the clinch. Vukovic pressing his opponent against the cage. Vukovic blocks a body shot from Calassa. Calassa trying to stall but Vukovic improves his position.
Vukovic turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Calassa wants to control but Vukovic postures up. Vukovic laying and praying for a moment but Calassa takes advantage and regains half guard. Calassa trying to control but Vukovic postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vukovic passes into side control, despite Calassa's attempt to control the position.
Calassa manages to get back to half guard. Vukovic stalling. Calassa wants to control but Vukovic is keeping busy and won't allow it. Vukovic slows the pace down in half guard. Vukovic wants to work for an arm triangle but Calassa is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Vukovic is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Calassa is trying to stand.
Vukovic wants to take a breather but Calassa is having none of it. Calassa wants to get back to full guard.

He catches Calassa napping and manages to drive through into side control! Calassa gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Calassa regains full guard. Nicely done. Calassa trying to keep a closed guard but Vukovic is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Calassa has his feet on Vukovic's thighs here. He's pushed Vukovic off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Vukovic screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
