Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vasil Stefanov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Rae! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stefanov blocks a head kick by Rae.
Rae waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Stefanov. Stefanov scores with a nice strike. Rae waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Stefanov. James Rae seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stefanov is looking to clinch but Rae is avoiding it.
A punch lands to the side of Stefanov 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like Vasil Stefanov has been cut. Rae connects with a good right hand that stumbles Stefanov. Stefanov circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Stefanov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rae circles away. A slow jab from Rae misses its intended target. Rae lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rae throws a hook to the side of Stefanov's head but Stefanov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Rae sizes up Stefanov with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Stefanov is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rae throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Oh Stefanov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Rae misses with a hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rae misses with a series of wild punches.
A big left from Rae misses. Stefanov blocks a jab. Stefanov seems to have got his legs back now. Stefanov wants to clinch up but Rae keeps it at a distance. Rae throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Rae scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Stefanov dodges the punch combination from Rae.
Stefanov staying out of range there. Stefanov defending well as Rae loads up on a big left hand. Stefanov throws a sloppy head kick and Rae counters with a crisp right that sends Stefanov to the canvas! Rae follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Rae!
