Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes into the arena with Mushroomhead blaring out of the sound system. Mack has chosen DMX (Ruff Ryders Anthem) as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Mack! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mack takes one to the side of the head.
Mack throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely. Mack will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mack lands a jab to the head.
Mack takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Jones misses with a wild combination.
Mack misses with a hook. Donk. Jones catches Mack right on the button with a cross. Mack defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones. Jones throws a lazy right hand but Mack sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A big right from Jones misses. A shot to de liver by Jones. Beautiful body shot. Jones throws a series of punches but Mack moves out of range. Mack throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jones sees it coming and avoids it easily. Jones throws a series of strikes that have Mack backpedaling.
Jones connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mack. Mack circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Good shot there by Jones. Jones with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mack to score with a decent uppercut. Jones staying out of range there. Mack steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jones. Mack uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jones.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mack napping and manages to drive through into side control! Jones working the head with strikes. Mack is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it. Jones lands an elbow. Jones sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Mack is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Mack dodges the ground and pound from Jones. Mack is trying to improve his position. Jones is trying to get an arm triangle but Mack is defending well. Mack manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Jones passes to full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mack in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Jones punching from mount but Mack doing a good job of avoiding damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mack can do anything to dispel that myth. Jones is landing with some decent strikes but Mack is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mack tries to buck Jones off but he can't manage it. Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jones dominating with strikes here. Mack is bucking up trying to escape but Jones cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Jones throws some wild stikes that Mack manages to avoid easily.
Jones swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Mack is now in Jones's guard. A big mistake from Jones there, giving up the dominant position! Mack is looking to work some ground and pound but Jones has wrist control. Mack throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Mack loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mack missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Mack lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Jones has his foot on Mack's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mack works his way back into a safe position though. Jones pushes Mack off and scrambles back to his feet.
Jones is breathing heavily. Mack is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jones. Jones misses with a wild body shot. A combination from Jones does no damage. Mack swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jones counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Jones postures up.
Mack wants to sweep but no luck. Mack is working an open guard so Jones takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Mack scores with a takedown into Jones's guard. Mack postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mack stands up from guard. Let's bang! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mack tests Jones's chin there with a solid looking shot. Jones throws an overhand right that lands on Mack's shoulder, as Mack tries to avoid the shot. Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Mack darts in and clinches Jones up against the cage. Mack lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jones backwards. Mack lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Jones or not. Mack lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jones backwards. Mack tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Jones's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Mack lands with a short head shot on the inside. Jones can't get the takedown.

Mack scores with a shot to the side of Jones's head. Mack lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A short left from Mack. Mack lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. A shot in the inside from Mack. Mack throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Mack lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Mack lands with a short shot to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Jones dominated that round. That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Mack looks to throw the jab but Jones is out of range. Jones throws out a loose jab but Mack uses good head movement to avoid it. Mack connects with a single shot there. Jones swings for the body but Mack moves out of range.
Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Jim Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mack has time to react. Mack smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Jones misses with a hook. Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice sprawl there from Mack as Jones shoots in. A combination from Jones does no damage. Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Mack connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Jones missing with a left hand there. Mack was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Mack misses with a hook. Jones ducked under it nicely. Jones throws a one two combo.
Mack darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Jones moves into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mack with a flurry of punches that miss. Jones working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mack. Jones kicks Mack off and gets to his feet. Jones closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mack did well to prevent Jones getting side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones stops Mack from getting back to his feet.
Jones is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Mack trying to control from the bottom.
Mack tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg. Jones not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mack moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Jones with a nice head shot there. Mack is looking to sweep but instead, Jones has passed into half guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Mack manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mack works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jones postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jones swings for the body but Mack moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mack tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.

Jones stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Jones listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mack.

Mack lands with a hook. Jones tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Jones misses with an uppercut. Mack saw that one coming. Mack is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jones's half guard. Mack thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jones wants to get back to his feet. Jones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jim Mack will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Mack might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Mack shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Jones looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mack can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mack throws a big right hand that misses. Mack is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Jones looking for a guillotine here but Mack defends easily.
Jones throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mack escapes and throws Jones's legs to the side, diving into side control! Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mack working the head and body with strikes. Mack lands a decent elbow from side control. Jones taking a bit of punishment here - Mack scoring with strikes. Mack looks up at the clock and then as Jones takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Mack smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mack working the ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mack working the body and head with strikes. Jones tries to buck Mack off but Mack is having none of it. Mack lands a nice forearm strike. Mack landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Mack scoring with punches from side control. Mack works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Mack working the body and head with strikes. Mack grinds an elbow into Jones's temple. Mack scores with punches from side control. Jones takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mack is working Jones over with some ground and pound from side control. Mack lands a few punches from side control. Jones taking punishment in the form of punches.

Mack looks to land a strike but Jones avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Mack must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Jones is looking for a triangle but Mack pushes his legs off easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones has momentary wrist control but Mack slips an elbow through the middle. Mack lands a couple of digs. Mack passes Jones's left leg - he's now in half guard. Jones on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Jones looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Mack takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mack lands with a punch from half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Jim Mack comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Mack has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
