Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lewis Harrington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Grieve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Lewis Harrington!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobby Grieve!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grieve dives in and grabs Harrington's left leg, looking for a takedown. Harrington pushes down on Grieve's head and hops out.
Grieve is looking to chop away at Harrington's legs.
Grieve tries to move into range but Harrington moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Harrington rushes Grieve and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Grieve tries to pull guard but Harrington won't allow it.
Harrington is struggling to control the position.
Harrington lands a right hand that snaps the head of Grieve backwards.

Harrington breaks the clinch.
Grieve shoots in for a takedown but Harrington shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Lewis Harrington has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Grieve.

Harrington fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Grieve sprawls well initially but Harrington persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Harrington lands a nice short elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harrington prevents Grieve from improving his position.
Harrington is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Grieve is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Harrington trying to mount his opponent but Grieve defends it.

Harrington is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Grieve defends it well.
Grieve has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Harrington is working away from the top position though.
Grieve is trying to get back to full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Grieve with a lazy takedown attempt
and Harrington counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Harrington moves into the clinch.
Harrington is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Harrington putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Grieve in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Harrington drags the fight down to the ground.
Harrington keeping full guard, as Grieve tries to pass.

Harrington has his foot on Grieve's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Grieve works his way back into a safe position though.
Harrington will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Harrington kicks Grieve off and gets to his feet.
Grieve looks gassed!

Harrington drives through with a takedown into guard.
Harrington is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Grieve looking to control.

Harrington gets to his feet. Grieve looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Harrington throws a one two combo.

Harrington moves into the clinch.

Harrington escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Grieve.

Harrington wants to control but Grieve postures up.
Harrington tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Harrington manages to get back to half guard.

Grieve stands up out of the half guard.
Grieve takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Grieve has his takedown stuffed

and Harrington holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Harrington lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Harrington taking a breather.
Harrington gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harrington lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Grieve darts in trying to clinch

and Harrington counters by clinching up.

Harrington pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Grieve gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Harrington holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Grieve is trying to stall.
Grieve goes for a takedown in the clinch but Harrington prevents it.
Harrington working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Harrington manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Harrington is adopting a defensive guard.
Harrington is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Grieve is breathing heavily.

Harrington managing to control the position.
Harrington throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Harrington controls Grieve momentarily but Grieve frees himself.
Grieve wants to control from the top but Harrington keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Harrington pushes Grieve off and scrambles back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Harrington is looking to clinch but Grieve is avoiding it.

Harrington drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Harrington wants to control from the top but Grieve keeps moving.
Grieve avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Harrington postures up.
Harrington slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Grieve working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Harrington doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Harrington manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Harrington pushes down on Grieve's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Harrington is controlling the pace.
Grieve keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Harrington is controlling the pace.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Harrington scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Grieve with a lazy takedown attempt

and Harrington counters by moving into the clinch.

Harrington breaks from the clinch.
Harrington throws a right hand that Grieve ducks under and follows up with a left that Grieve also avoids with ease.

Harrington has closed the distance and engaged Grieve in a clinch.
Grieve looking to stall.
Grieve is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Harrington has denied him.
Harrington has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Grieve is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Grieve has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Harrington avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Harrington is pressed up against the cage. Grieve has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Harrington down to the mat. Harrington avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Lewis Harrington has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Grieve.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Grieve tries to pull guard but Harrington holds him up against the cage and eventually Grieve drops back down to his feet.
Grieve drops down looking for an ankle pick but Harrington pulls his leg out and moves away.
Grieve takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Harrington drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Harrington just content to control the position.
Grieve can't do much from the bottom here.
Grieve is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Harrington passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Grieve!
Grieve reaches up to try and control the position but Harrington seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Grieve rolls and tries to escape and now Harrington has his back!
Grieve is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Harrington.
Harrington is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Grieve. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Harrington is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Grieve up.
Harrington controlling the position well here. Grieve rolled but Harrington kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Harrington is landing with strikes from the back.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Harrington has the hooks in. Grieve is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Harrington passes his arm under Grieve's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Grieve taps!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Lewis Harrington!
