Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dave Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sloat Gresham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Click the link.. Sloat Gresham will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gresham moves into the clinch successfully.

Gresham works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Nelson keeping moving, preventing Gresham from controlling successfully.
Gresham would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Nelson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gresham's guard.

Gresham drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Nelson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gresham has Nelson in his guard.
Gresham is breathing heavily.

Gresham has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Nelson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gresham.

Gresham wants to get back to his feet but Nelson is dominant here and he's now got Gresham's back!

Nelson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Gresham keeps control of the position for the meantime.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Nelson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Gresham looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Gresham is looking to control Nelson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gresham avoid being mounted?

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Gresham is looking to clinch.

Nelson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nelson lands in his opponent's guard.
Gresham is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gresham slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Dave Nelson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Gresham pushes Nelson off but Nelson dives into side control.
Nelson tries to get to his feet but Gresham is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Nelson in his guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dave Nelson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Gresham has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
