Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Emmanuel Tutu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Teddy Bear! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tutu misses with the combination.
Tutu keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tutu tried to score with a low kick but Bear checks it. Tutu moves into the clinch. Tutu digs a right hand underneath Bear's ribcage. Bear let out a lung full of air as it connected. Bear looks gassed! A short right hand to the side of the head by Tutu.
It looks like Teddy Bear has been cut. Tutu is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Bear takes a shot to the head. Tutu lands a body shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tutu has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bear avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Tutu lands a nice uppercut. Tutu lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Bear or not. Tutu turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Tutu staying calm. Tutu will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Tutu decides to stand back up. Tutu steps back and let's Bear get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tutu throws out a leg kick but Bear moves out of range and Tutu only half commits. Oooh a lovely combination from Tutu sends Bear down but not out. Tutu dives into side control looking to finish.
Bear is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Tutu just content to control the position. Bear is still in real trouble! Can Tutu finish him? Tutu cracks Bear with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Tutu immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Bear is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Tutu!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Emmanuel Tutu!
