Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tim Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brady Shores (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor comes to the cage accompanied by Everything in its right place- Radio Head. Brady Shores will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor fails with the takedown.

Shores bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Taylor gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Shores throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Taylor's waist but Taylor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shores off to one side.
Shores throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Taylor on the side of the head.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Taylor looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Shores drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Taylor is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Shores gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Shores jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Taylor walks away with a smile on his face. Shores gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Taylor shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Shores napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Taylor is trying to move to mount but Shores reverses beautifully and ends up in Taylor's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Tim Taylor will probably get the nod.

Taylor has his foot on Shores's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shores works his way back into a safe position though.

Shores is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Shores closes this distance looking for a takedown but Taylor circles away.

Taylor throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Shores was covering up waiting for the punch and Taylor finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Taylor drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Shores manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Taylor has Shores in his guard.
