Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Sebastien Blais (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blais is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Metallica - One. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Price! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Sebastien Blais! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Price throws a low kick but Blais avoids it. Price circles away from the clinch attempt.
Blais tries to clinch but Price moves out of range. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Price lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Blais has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Blais and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Price misses with a low kick. Price tries to clinch but fails miserably and Blais counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Blais. Price wants to sweep but no luck. Blais trying to control the position from guard on top but Price is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Price has a closed guard, preventing Blais from standing up. Price controls Blais momentarily but Blais frees himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Price is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Blais is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blais tries to free his leg and advance position but Price is retaining full guard. Blais controls from within his opponent's guard. Blais is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Blais accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Blais wants to control from the top but Price keeps moving. Price escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Blais gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Blais trying to control but Price is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Blais must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Blais throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Price works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Price working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Blais doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Blais manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Price escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Blais gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Blais wants to control from the top but Price keeps moving. Price keeping full guard, as Blais tries to pass. Blais trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blais tries to free his leg and advance position but Price is retaining full guard. Price working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Blais doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Blais manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Price is breathing heavily. Price bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Blais's guard. Price postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Blais is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Price, into his guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blais gets to his feet. Price looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Blais checks a leg kick nicely. Price tries to clinch but Blais moves away and Blais counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Price's guard now. Blais stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Price swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blais slips nicely into half guard. Blais working the head and body with strikes. Blais wants to work for an arm triangle but Price is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Blais is trying to work for a kimura but Price is defending well.
Blais is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Blais wants to control but Price is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jean Sebastien Blais dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Blais tries to clinch up. Price thows a leg kick but Blais checks it and Blais counters with a takedown into side control. Price wants to get back to his feet but Blais drags him back down. Blais just content to control the position. Blais is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Price has escaped the position, nice work there. Price is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Blais trying to control the action but Price is working from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blais is trying to get an arm triangle but Price is defending well. Blais wants to control but Price is keeping him busy. Price is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Blais off and has taken his back! Blais trying to control the hands but Price won't let him. Price patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Blais trying to control but not successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Blais manages to reverse the position and now he's in Price's guard. Nice work there by Blais.
Blais wants to control from the top but Price keeps moving. Blais working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Blais drives through with a takedown into guard. Blais stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Price is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Blais is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Blais has escaped and now he's on top! Price keeping moving, preventing Blais from controlling successfully. Blais trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Price wants to stand and escape but Blais is having none of it. Blais passes into half guard. Blais is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blais is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Price wants to get back to full guard but Blais has mounted him! Price in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jean Sebastien Blais showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Blais shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Price as he jumps to the side. Price connects with a high kick. Blais is looking to clinch. Price throws a leg kick that is checked and Blais counters with a single leg into guard. Price didn't expect that. Price is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Blais dives into side control.
Blais has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Price! Blais pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Blais landing shots from mount. Blais jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Price is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Price and Blais has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Price manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Blais actively working from the bottom here. Price passes into side control, despite Blais's attempt to control the position.
Blais tries to improve position but can't. Blais sneaks back into half guard. Blais lands a couple of sideways elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Price is working for a kimura but Blais is defending it quite comfortably.
Blais is defending against the submission attempts here by Price.
Ryan Price has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Blais makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Blais. Price pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Blais is keeping the position for now. Jean Sebastien Blais is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Price preventing the sweep. Price looking to pass the guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Blais moves into the clinch. Price tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Price tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Blais smiles and moves away.
Blais rushes Price and presses him up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Blais jumps into guard, dragging Price to the mat.
Blais is pulling down on Price's head. It's preventing any offense from Price, at least for the moment. Let's hope that Blais has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Price loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
And that's the end of the fight! Jean Sebastien Blais comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Blais winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
