Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luigi Wii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ash Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wii comes to the cage accompanied by TUF. Ash Thomas will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luigi Wii! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ash Thomas! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wii closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wii lands in his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wii wants to pass the guard but Thomas is keeping the position. Thomas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wii. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thomas has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wii works a leg free and moves into half guard. Wii is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Thomas doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wii. Wii wants to free his trapped foot but Thomas is holding on for dear life with his legs. Thomas is not content to let Wii control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Wii trying to mount his opponent but Thomas defends it. Wii looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Wii is working hard here to advance position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Wii shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Wii fails with a takedown attempt. Thomas lands a left and a right that send Wii crashing to the mat, dazed. Thomas thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Luigi Wii has been cut. Wii slips a straight right by Thomas. Wii is trying hard to land a takedown here. Thomas sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luigi Wii. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wii walks straight into a right hand from Thomas - that's dropped him! Thomas jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Wii from any more punishment! Wii complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ash Thomas!
