The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bishop gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Mason is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Bishop is keeping busy.
Mason fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mason jumps guard but Bishop stands there with Mason around his waist. Mason gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Mason tries to score a body lock takedown but Bishop shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Bishop wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mason keeps working.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bishop wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mason, who protects the arm well.

and Mason counters with a nice double leg into guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mason connects with a nice short shot to Bishop's temple.
Bishop is trying to maintain the position but Mason is very close to passing his half guard.
Mason is trying to control. Bishop wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Eddie Mason showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mason moves into range and clinches up with Bishop.
Bishop throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

I would just about give that final round to Eddie Mason.
