Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesus Ramirez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gus Carcetti!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Carcetti fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ramirez misses with a series of wild punches.
Carcetti looks to land a body kick but Ramirez moved away.
Ramirez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carcetti but Carcetti pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ramirez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Carcetti changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ramirez tries to avoid it but Carcetti manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ramirez to the ground. Ramirez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gus Carcetti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carcetti shoots for a double leg takedown but Ramirez sprawls well. He's pushed Carcetti's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jesus Ramirez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gus Carcetti.
Ramirez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
No luck for Carcetti with that takedown attempt.
Ramirez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carcetti circles away quickly and effectively.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Carcetti letting Ramirez take a breather here.
A frustrated look appears on Carcetti's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Carcetti tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ramirez's elbow.

Carcetti ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Carcetti no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Carcetti working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ramirez.
Ramirez is looking to work some ground and pound but Carcetti has wrist control.

Carcetti is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ramirez is controlling him.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ramirez stuffs the takedown attempt from Carcetti. Carcetti gets slowly back to his feet.
Ramirez misses with a few strikes there.
Ramirez tries to bum rush Carcetti with a series of wild strikes but Carcetti uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
No luck for Carcetti with that takedown attempt.

Carcetti gets a takedown into half guard.
Carcetti looks gassed!
Ramirez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ramirez is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ramirez preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Ramirez is trying to stand up here but Carcetti is controlling him well.
Carcetti wants to control but Ramirez is keeping him busy.

Carcetti is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Carcetti is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ramirez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Carcetti.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ramirez is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Ramirez clinches.
Carcetti stops a takedown attempt from Ramirez.

Carcetti gets control of Ramirez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Carcetti will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jesus Ramirez dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Ramirez throws a series of punches but Carcetti moves out of range.
Ramirez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ramirez misses with a few strikes there.
Carcetti shoots in and drives through. Ramirez sprawls well.

Carcetti throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ramirez works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ramirez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carcetti gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Carcetti looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jesus Ramirez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gus Carcetti.

Ramirez misses with a short punch on the inside.
Ramirez has Carcetti pushed against the cage.
Ramirez misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Carcetti wants to break free but Ramirez has control.

Carcetti is rocked!
Carcetti is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ramirez lands a right hand that snaps the head of Carcetti backwards.
Carcetti is still on wobbly legs! Can Ramirez finish him?
Ramirez lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Carcetti to his knees! Ramirez keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jesus Ramirez!
