The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soszynski fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kuukonen sprawls well initially but Soszynski persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Kuukonen tries to kick Soszynski off but Soszynski keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Kuukonen won't allow Soszynski to pass to mount.
Kuukonen is trying to stand back up but Soszynski is controlling him
Soszynski has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Kuukonen defend it? Soszynski steps over the head and cranks it - Kuukonen is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Soszynski!
