Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mahiko Mahitato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeya Fukunari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mahitato might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to tokyo drift - teriyaki boys. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mahiko Mahitato! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeya Fukunari! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mahitato shoots in for a takedown but Fukunari shows good takedown defense. Mahitato swings for the body but Fukunari moves out of range.
Fukunari tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mahitato swinging wilding here.
Mahiko Mahitato seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fukunari takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Takeya Fukunari has been cut. Mahitato throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mahitato fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Fukunari looks to land a combination but Mahitato avoids it well. Fukunari misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Mahitato finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Fukunari misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mahitato tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fukunari swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mahiko Mahitato. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fukunari moves in looking to clinch but Mahitato pushes him off. Mahitato looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Mahitato pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fukunari tries to score with a low kick but Mahitato moves his leg out of the way. Fukunari avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Fukunari moves into the clinch. Mahitato avoids a wild elbow strike from Fukunari. Fukunari with a knee to the head.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Mahitato is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fukunari is controlling him. Mahitato is breathing heavily. Mahitato is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Fukunari thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Fukunari pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mahitato is keeping the position for now. Mahitato is looking to stand up but Fukunari isn't so interested in that idea.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mahitato rushes Fukunari and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Fukunari throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Mahitato gets control of Fukunari's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mahitato will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mahitato controls Fukunari momentarily but Fukunari frees himself. Fukunari wants to pass the guard but Mahitato is keeping the position. Fukunari stands and throws Mahitato's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Fukunari is trying to get an arm triangle but Mahitato is defending well.
Fukunari working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Fukunari thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
 That's four minutes gone in the round.
 The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Fukunari goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mahitato has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Fukunari but great work by Mahitato.
Mahitato decides to stand back up. Mahitato steps back and let's Fukunari get back to his feet. Mahitato circles away from the clinch attempt and Mahitato counters with a big head kick but Fukunari shrugs it off. Mahitato throws a head kick that half lands.
Mahitato misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mahitato tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Fukunari scores with a leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mahiko Mahitato dominated that round. The cut man is working on Takeya Fukunari's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Fukunari swats away the attempt to clinch by Mahitato. Mahitato misses with a wild combination.
Mahitato really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Mahitato tries to clinch up. Mahitato blocks a head kick by Fukunari.
Fukunari with a poor takedown and Mahitato counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Fukunari misses with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A head kick by Mahitato misses and Fukunari counters with a thumping low kick. Mahitato throws a lazy head kick
so Fukunari counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fukunari is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mahitato is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mahitato has escaped and now he's on top! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mahitato sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Fukunari looking for a guillotine here but Mahitato defends easily.
Mahitato got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fukunari has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mahitato has managed to get both his arms back between Fukunari's legs - danger averted.
Fukunari looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Mahitato avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Fukunari has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Mahitato is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Fukunari. Fukunari is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fukunari is trying to work for a sweep but Mahitato has mounted him! Fukunari is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Mahitato gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Mahitato lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Fukunari gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Fukunari is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Mahitato is keeping busy. Mahitato wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Fukunari stalls.
Mahitato pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mahitato tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fukunari swivels and escapes. The fighters circling - Fukunari throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A head kick by Fukunari misses and Mahitato counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Fukunari gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Fukunari wants to sweep here but Mahitato controlling him for the moment. Mahitato would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Mahitato looking to pass the guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mahitato trying to control the position from guard on top but Fukunari is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fukunari has his feet on Mahitato's thighs here. He's pushed Mahitato off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Mahitato screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
