Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam McGuinness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaren Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think McGuinness might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Fuckin In the Bushes - Oasis. Adam McGuinness has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGuinness swings away with a leg kick that misses. Jackson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches McGuinness napping and manages to drive through into side control! Jackson is trying to get an arm triangle but McGuinness is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McGuinness is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The strikes coming from Jackson are missing the target in this wave of attacks. McGuinness tries to improve position but can't. McGuinness manages to get back to half guard. McGuinness is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jackson pulls his head out easily. Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McGuinness. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jackson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Jackson looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now McGuinness is on top in guard.
Jackson wants to stand and escape but McGuinness is having none of it. McGuinness tries to free his leg and advance position but Jackson is retaining full guard. Jackson working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jackson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jackson looks gassed! McGuinness pushing down on Jackson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. McGuinness seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. McGuinness winds up and cracks Jackson with a swinging punch to the side of the head. McGuinness prevents Jackson from improving his position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth. Jackson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. McGuinness not landing any meaningful shots this time. Jackson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from McGuinness. McGuinness has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. A nice elbow there by McGuinness.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson tries to reverse the position but McGuinness maintains control. Jackson is squirming around, avoiding McGuinness's attempts to control the action. McGuinness unloading with bombs! McGuinness controlling from the full mount. McGuinness is standing up, even though he is in mount. McGuinness shoots and misses and Jackson counters with a head kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McGuinness shoots in and drives through. Jackson sprawls well. McGuinness fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adam McGuinness. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jackson doesn't succeed with the takedown and McGuinness counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by McGuinness. McGuinness has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jackson uses from the top position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now McGuinness is on top in guard.
McGuinness wants to stand but Jackson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. McGuinness passes easily into side control. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. McGuinness misses with a takedown and Jackson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. McGuinness actively working from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson looks to land a strike but McGuinness avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Jackson tries to stand but McGuinness is controlling from the bottom. McGuinness trying to keep a closed guard but Jackson is proving a slippery customer.

McGuinness pivots and extends the arm, Jackson falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by McGuinness! Well done that man!
